CrossFit Scotland was opened in February 2008 by Neil Foley and Ron McKinstray.
At that time there were less than 300 CrossFit gyms in the world but interest was growing at a phenomenal rate.
Now there are over 10,000 CrossFit Affiliates all around the world showing we recognised a fantastic formula for fitness way back when we first decided to open.
Our facility in Irvine Ayrshire provides everything you require to improve your fitness and is suitable for all levels of ability, from beginners to seasoned athletes.
What is CrossFit?
“CrossFit is a fitness program that produces measurable outcomes through lifestyle changes, centred on training and nutrition. Workouts consist of constantly varied, high-intensity, functional movements, and are most fun and effective among friends at your local CrossFit Gym”.
CrossFit is the world’s leading platform for improving health and performance. In the 20 years since its founding, CrossFit has grown from a garage gym in Santa Cruz, California, into the world’s most effective program for improving health and performance through nutrition and exercise.
Who can do CrossFit?
CrossFit is defined as “constantly varied functional movements, executed at high intensity” and is designed to be for anyone.
It isn’t limited to the already strong or the already fit; it’s for people of all ability and fitness levels, age ranges, genders, and walks of life.
And it’s more than just a fitness program!
“It’s family, it’s community, it’s a no-BS approach to bettering your life not only inside the walls of the gym, but also outside the walls of the gym,”
CrossFit Flowmaster Chuck Carswell
