Welcome   The Gym   Membership   Contact   W.O.D.   Trainers   Links

Hopefully by now you will have spotted a theme emerging. Our style of training
is uncomplicated, our facility is designed for training, not lounging and even our
name is, well, Basic. You will be glad to know that the same philosophy
applies to membership of BasixGym.

One major feature that sets us apart from conventional fitness facilities
is that we do not do CONTRACTS. At BasixGym we believe the standard
of training you receive will bring you back for more.
You only pay to use Basix a month at a time.

We offer a choice of two memberships:
A: Pay £34 per month and use the gym up to three times per week.
A joint "3" membership with your partner costs only £56
B: Pay £51 per month and enjoy unlimited use of the gym.
A joint unlimited membership with your partner costs only £79

There is a £20 single payment joining fee.
For a further £20 payment we offer the option to attend three CrossFit Fundamental
Classes. They are held on Saturday & Sunday between 11:30am & 1:00pm.

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

Everyone that joins a gym will have a differing level of fitness. CrossFit is well
suited to these differences as we scale the load, not the workout.

What exactly does that mean?

Let us look at a workout to provide the answer.
"Helen" ~ the name of a "workout of the day" ~ or WOD as they have become
known, involves the following:

Run, row or cross train 400m
21 Kettlebell Swings
12 Pull-ups,   Repeat all three times.

In this WOD everyone is scaled to suit there own ability.
For a  novice, the running distance can be reduced, the kettlebell weight kept light and the
pull-ups become jumping pull-ups. This way a class can work together and successfully complete the same workout.

For the very reason that everyone differs, we offer two different memberships.

All memberships are subject to a £20 joining fee.

For a further £20 we offer the opportunity to benefit from three
CrossFit Fundamental Classes.
These classes are held on a Saturday and Sunday between 11:30am & 1:00pm.
You can attend which ever day is more suitable.

Fundamental Classes are designed to get you up to speed quickly and teach
you the technical side of CrossFit. The numbers attending are strictly limited
to five members. You can still attend classes at the normal times,
putting into practice what you have learned at a Fundamental Class.

Fundamental Classes are also available to existing members at the same rate, £20.

"UP TO THREE"
This membership is suitable for those who can only attend the gym three times per week
due to other commitments or new members who are looking to build their fitness level.

Costs are as follows:

Single: £34 per month
(equivalent to £2.62 per class)

plus partner: £56 per month
(equivalent to £2.15 per class)

"UNLIMITED"
An unlimited membership allows you train on whichever day suits you and for as many
days per week, although we do recommend that you train for no more than three days
and then take a rest day.

Costs are as follows:

Single: £51 per month
(equivalent to £1.67 per class)

plus partner: £79 per month
(equivalent to £1.30 per class)

"Methods of Payment"

We offer several different methods of payment.

A. You can either pay by cash or cheque (made payable to Basix Gym Ltd )

B. You can pay by Standing Order - download a form here

C. You can pay on-line using your credit card using the box below.

Whichever membership you choose we know you will benefit from class based training.
CrossFit differs from a conventional gym with the group nature of the workouts.
Since opening in February 2008 we have been asked by a few new members if they can train by themselves. The answer is yes, you can use your visits to the gym during the open sessions
in the afternoon. So far, almost everyone attending the gym comes to a class - why? -
because they enjoy it and thrive on the group environment.
